Racism, Sexuality, Hegemonic Masculinity etc.(what ever you want the title to be)
Seminars: Readings, Papers, and Discussions – Throughout the term you will have the opportunity to submit one Seminar Paper ranging from 3-5 pages in length based on one of your course readings. Each person will be assigned an article to cover which will be due at the end of the week for that assigned course reading. THE SEMINAR SCHEDULE WILL BE POSTED IN A SEPARATE DOCUMENT! Please check to see when yours is due! Now, here’s what a Seminar Paper is: Summary of one of the articles from your assigned readings from the week your paper is due. You may want to introduce the author, the title of the article, some background on the researcher and, of course, a summary of what the author is presenting. NOTE!!: IT IS HIGHLY SUGGESTED THAT YOU USE QUOTES AND CITATIONS IN YOUR SUMMARY AND THROUGHOUT YOUR PAPER IF YOU ARE USING ANY OUTSIDE SOURCES OR QUOTING FROM YOUR PRIMARY SOURCE. PLEASE DON’T GET INTO TROUBLE FOR PLAGIARIZING. Then b) You need to find at least TWO (2) scholarly articles related to the topic of your seminar article, to incorporate into your paper. These articles need to highlight and reflect on the issues your author is presenting. Include a typed bibliography in ASA, APA, or MLA format at the end of your paper, citing your article from your course readings and any additional articles you use in your paper. Papers should be written in ASA, APA, or MLA format. I highly recommend the TLC lab or asking for any assistance with your papers.
