Assignment An article by Ziobro and Ng (2015, March 15) states that “Wal-Mart Stores Inc. is increasing the pressure on supplier to cut cost of their products …. and …. telling them to forgo investment in joint marketing with the retailer …”. This is just one story among many where the buyer puts pressure on the supplier to cut prices. Question; What is your opinion when the supplier and buyer each want to maximize their operational goals, the pressure to cut prices possibly to the lowest level to retain buyer competitive advantage but in the process straining the relationship desirable in the long run?
